"How do I set up a Business Manager Account on Facebook?"
"What would be the best way to create a Facebook Business Manager account?"
So let's get started and help you set up a business on Facebook.
Facebook Personal Profile Vs Facebook Business Page
A Facebook profile is a personal account on Facebook and is used by a person for personal activities, such as communicating with friends, posting, and liking/commenting on others' posts.
A Facebook Page is for businesses and brands that will be using Facebook for professional marketing purposes. For this reason, you can only run an ad account on your Facebook page and not on a personal account.
What is FB Business Manager? Why use it?
Facebook Business Manager is the next step for companies planning to leverage Facebook for their business. Business Manager works as a centralized control system where you can create and manage everything related to your business assets and tools, take advantage of Facebook ads and create your Facebook pixel.
Thanks to your acquisition, you can now also link your Instagram business accounts to create more impact through your social media marketing.
We strongly recommend that you set up Business Manager if you have:
A business or point of service with multiple customers, multiple ad accounts, and ad campaign reporting requirements. Since 2018, Facebook has made it mandatory for businesses to use Business Manager if any of their accounts use email list custom audiences.
A relatively larger team spread across different locations.
You have a defined target audience that you want to reach through marketing campaigns to increase sales.
Multiple web properties and blogs.
When you create your Facebook Business Manager account, you must associate a business page with Facebook Manager. Note that if you don't have a Facebook Page or Facebook Ads Manager to use for your Facebook ad campaigns, Business Manager will allow you to create one.
Facebook Business Manager is a completely separate workspace and does not interfere with your personal Facebook profile. In fact, Facebook allows you to create a business account even if you don't have a personal profile.

Verification of your business details
Now, from the Business Manager home page, go to Business Settings ? Business Information. Check "Trade Verification Status" under "Trade Details". If it says "not verified", it means you know you need to verify your business details.
To verify your business details:
Click "View Details". It will take you to the security center.
The third tab is "Trade Verification".
Click "Continue" and start verifying the business details.
Follow the instructions and enter the email ID when prompted.
You should receive a 5-digit code in your email inbox, please enter that code as the last step and click "Submit".
This should complete the verification process.
Verify your domain
In some cases, you may find the "Merchant Verification" button grayed out, preventing you from taking any action. In this case, you must first verify your company domain before verifying your company details. You can do this with one of two methods:
- Go to the Business Settings ? Brand Safety ? Domain dropdown menu. Here you will find instructions on two methods to verify a domain:
- HTML file upload, or
- DNS TXT record.
Follow the instructions to verify your domain.
- Once your domain is verified, you can start verifying your business details from the "Business Verification" page.
Please note that domain verification and business verification are two different things. While business verification is required to request access to certain Facebook products and developer features, domain verification allows you to claim content privileges when you prove ownership of a domain.
